Strength has always been a part of my story.
But wellness became about so much more.

My Story
My career in fitness began somewhat unexpectedly at 16. I was taking an aerobics class at our local gym, when our aerobics instructor didn’t show up for class. I knew the routine-back then, we had highly choreographed programs, we wore leotards with matching belts, earrings and leg warmers and honey, we WORKED IT OUT! Someone strapped the microphone belt and headset on me, and with Kenny Loggins’ Danger Zone playing, I stepped up and taught my first class.
I never looked back.
I continued teaching through college and began competing in natural bodybuilding at 27. For the next 10 years, I trained and competed, ultimately earning my professional bodybuilding card in 2003.
Reaching that milestone also marked a shift for me. I had spent years learning how to build a strong body and eat with precision, but I was becoming increasingly interested in something bigger:
What does it really take to build a body-and a life-that supports you for the long haul?
That question followed me throughout my career as a personal trainer, coach and eventually the owner of two 24-hour fitness facilities in Des Moines, Iowa.
And over the years, my clients began teaching me the answer.
The plan wasn’t the problem.
Again and again, people would come to me wanting results. We would create a solid training plan, talk about nutrition, set goals-and they genuinely wanted to succeed.
But life would happen.
One client couldn't consistently train because she was exhausted from poor sleep. Another was following the workout but wasn't eating enough to support it. Someone else was overwhelmed by stress. Another knew exactly what to do but struggled with mindset, recovery, connection or simply finding the capacity to follow through.
There was often a great plan in place.
But there was a gap somewhere else.
Through decades of coaching, I began recognizing those recurring gaps and eventually defining them as six essential pillars:
eat • sleep • move• think • breathe • connect
And then something became very clear to me:
We already do all six. Every single day.
We eat.
We sleep.
We move.
We think.
We breathe.
We connect.
The opportunity isn't necessarily to add more to our lives.
It's to become more intentional about what we're already doing.
That’s where synergy comes in.
None of these pillars operates in isolation.
How you sleep can affect how you think, eat and move. How you think can influence the choices you make throughout the day. Stress can change the way you breathe, recover and connect. And when you strengthen one area, it can create a positive ripple effect through the others.
That's synergy-when the individual pieces begin working together to create something greater than any one of them could create alone.
And that's how the Infinite Synergy Method evolved.
It isn't about being perfect in all six areas. And it certainly isn't about adding six more things to your to-do list.
It's about learning to recognize where the gap is right now, bringing intention to that area, and creating small, sustainable changes that allow the pieces of your life to begin supporting one another.
This is how I coach today.
I still believe deeply in strength. LIFTING IS MY FAVORITE WAY TO MOVE! I am committed to helping people challenge their body and continuing to build physical capability throughout their lives.
But after decades in this industry, I also know that the best workout program in the world can only take you so far if the rest of your life isn't supporting it.
My job isn't simply to hand you another plan.
It's to help you understand your body, recognize the gaps, and build the strength, habits and awareness that allow you to feel better, function better and live more fully.
Small actions. Done with intention. Working together.
That’s Infinite Synergy.
